We’re proud of Curava’s striking and superior surfaces. But we have a third chapter to our story to share with you, and that’s how we manufacture sustainable surfaces.
Curava surfaces are composed of recycled glass and quartz particulates, bound by resin, not cement. One of the most eco-friendly surfaces on the market today, Curava surfaces are made from 100% post-consumer and post-industrial recycled glass.
You probably discard glass every time you put your recyclables out to the curb. Or you make sure to return your glass bottles in the right slot at your favorite restaurant or gathering to participate in their recycling. In 2011, Americans contributed 11.5 million tons of glass to the municipal solid waste stream.
We’re chipping away at that problem by sourcing glass collected from landfills and other resources, including discarded glass bottles and window and windshield glass. We use approximately 25 bottles to produce a square foot of Curava surfaces, with striking results and unique colors. That’s 25 easy reasons to go green with Curava.
We have found the key to manufacturing superior products without using harmful materials or sacrificing quality. Curava surfaces are manufactured using a variety of green-friendly methods, using recycled glass bound by resin and a zero-water-waste manufacturing process.
Curava is green; our products and practices are green. We check off the boxes for recycling, for being protective of our environment and for monitoring the use of our natural resources.
We have tremendous regard for our environment, as do you. You’ll feel good about selecting and showing off your new Curava kitchen countertop, vanity top, or furniture or bar top. And you have the story behind your smart choice.
